Oil vs. Varnish

FLOORIA Lacquered Floors

The UV varnish is applied in 7 layers, which gives the surface an exclusive, glassy appearance and ensures smoothness by covering the pores of the wood. Our UV varnish is virtually solvent-free and applied in a closed circuit, which makes it an ecological product.

The finished boards are 15 or 20 mm thick.

Varnished floors are very popular among customers who prefer traditional solutions. Our offer includes two different finishing options:

– satin varnish that gives the floor a shine, beautifully reflecting light and adding elegance to the interior.

matte varnish that highlights the natural appearance of wood, giving the rooms a warm and cozy character.

Our offer includes as many as 8 different colors of UV varnish that fit perfectly into any interior, providing a wide selection that suits individual aesthetic preferences.

It is undoubtedly worth emphasizing that wood protected with varnish is highly resistant to abrasion. Thanks to this, the floor becomes much more resistant to the aging process and does not require frequent care or renovation.

Thanks to the complete surface coverage with varnish, the floors are more resistant to dirt because the stains do not penetrate the wood structure. Lacquered floors are also more resistant to direct water exposure.

FLOORIA Oiled Floors

The second finishing method is oiled floors, which are also very popular. We apply two or three layers of oil on them, additionally securing them with wax, which gives them a natural look and high resistance. Natural oil waxes penetrate the wood, leaving a smooth film, facilitating use and enabling simple repairs without the need to sand the entire floor.

Oiled boards are 15 or 20 mm thick.

The main positive feature of oiled boards is that the oils enhance the color of the wood, while still maintaining its natural appearance by emphasizing the grain.

The oil is very pleasant to the touch, does not electrify or attract dust, and its coating has a delicate shine.

Another advantage of oiled floors is their ease of repair. To renew the surface, simply apply another layer of oil, without the need to sand the entire surface.

Small scratches can be easily removed with regular care.
